Request an HPC account¶
The cluster is used with a single CEDIA user account, valid for the visual portal, SSH access and the AI services. Requests are completed on the accounts platform:
If the form does not open
The accounts platform is being rolled out. If the link does not respond, write to noc@cedia.org.ec with the details in the table below and we will handle the request by e-mail: you do not lose your place in the queue.
What we will ask you for¶
Have this information ready before opening the form:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Full name | As it appears on your ID |
| Institutional e-mail | Your university's or institute's address: we contact you there and you sign in with it |
| Institution | The university, institute or CEDIA project you belong to |
| Role | Researcher, faculty member, undergraduate or graduate student, technical staff |
| Field or project | The research or service where you will use the cluster |
| Expected resources | Whether you work with CPU or GPU, the software you use and the approximate size of your data |
| Consent | Reading and accepting the acceptable use policy |
What happens next¶
- You submit the request on the accounts platform.
- We verify your institutional affiliation with your institution (if you already use CEDIA services this step is usually immediate).
- You receive your user by e-mail, with the instructions to sign in.
- You upload your SSH public key (or we help you create one) if you prefer the terminal: SSH access does not use passwords.
- You start with the five-step tutorial.
Students
If you are a student, ask your advisor or research unit to endorse the request: the cluster is a shared resource and we prioritize projects with institutional backing.
